Found scattered or in groups on decaying hardwood branches.

Description:

Fruiting body: Fertile interior surface bright red and smooth; infertile outer surface pinkish, slightly ridged. Stalk: White, becoming yellow-tan in age; smooth (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
