Status:

From BugGuide (2016): Native to Eurasia; adventive and widespread in North America. This is one of the primary defoliators of alfalfa. The parasitic wasps Bathylplectes anurus and B. curculionis have been introduced into the U.S. for biocontrol.

Relationships:

Adults and larvae feed on alfalfa.
