Northern Highbush Blueberry Vaccinium corymbosum Linnaeus
Kingdom Plantae   >   Division Tracheophyta   >   Class Magnoliopsida   >   Order Ericales   >   Family Ericaceae   >   Genus Vaccinium

Status:

The highbush blueberry complex is very confusing, and locality data is incomplete. We suspect that Northern Highbush Blueberry only occurs in the far western region of Maryland. Northern Highbush Blueberry may occur in pockets east of the mountains, but because Northern Highbush Blueberry readily hybridizes with other highbush blueberry species, identification becomes very difficult.

Relationships:

Host plant for various moth species including Drexel's Datana Moth (Miller et al., 2018).

There are 14 records in the project database.
