Unidentified Trametes can be posted at Trametes species. Note that DNA analysis has shown that T. gibbosa is a different species than some listed as synonyms, but those names appear in common references when T. gibbosa was intended (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
On hardwood stumps and logs, sometimes on pine. Dorsal surface: White to yellowish-buff, may have concentric texture zones, bumpy surface; lumpy at attachment; ventral (pore) surface whitish; shape of pore openings round, angular, or maze-like slots--all three types may be present on single fruiting body (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
