Status:

Found solitary, scattered, or in groups on lawns, in open woodlands, and along roadsides.

Description:

Cap: Small, rose-red; in age, pinkish-red with yellow flesh showing through cracks; convex, dry, velvety; flesh yellow, stains blue-green. Pores: Yellow becoming greenish or olive-yellow in age; stain dark blue. Stalk: Pale yellow at top to darker yellow at base often with reddish pruinescence; dry (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
