Status:

Found on rich soil, stumps, logs, or living plants; more common spring and fall.

Description:

White/yellowish/ochre/pink with red-brown flecks. Slimy when young; eventually brittle crust breaks away to expose black spore mass (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
