Status:

Found solitary or in groups on wood chips, sawdust, and hay bales.

Description:

Cap initially cylindrical and covered with white/grayish fibrils, becoming white then gray and finally gray-black in age; often deeply grooved with brownish disc; bell-shaped to broadly conic in age; margin inrolled, then curls upward in age. Gills white, then gray, finally black. Stalk white, floccose (smooth in age), dry (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
