Found on living or recently dead coniferous trunks and stumps.
Body tan, stalkless, globular, or hoof-shaped. Pores covered with thick veil becoming exposed only at maturity.
Affiliated with conifers. Breakdown of the veil is assisted by a variety of small insects and other arthropods which bore through the veil and allow the dissemination of the spores (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
There are 39 records in the project database.
