Status:

Found solitary or in groups on standing hardwood trees, stumps, and logs.

Description:

Cap: White, convex to nearly plane in age; silky, dry, edge fringed with fine hairs. Gills: White (pink/brownish-pink in age), close. Stalk: White, smooth, base with brown saccate volva (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
