A summer resident in Maryland.
Blue-winged Warblers in Maryland nest in moist, brushy, cutover forests (Stewart and Robbins, 1958).
Where their ranges overlap, the Blue-winged Warbler hybridizes with the closely related species, Golden-winged Warbler. Resulting hybrids are Brewster's Warbler and Lawrence's Warbler.
There are 170 records in the project database.
