Status:

Found solitary or in small groups on ground under oaks.

Description:

Cap: Reddish to brown; Convex becoming flat; dry; tomentose when young, smooth in age; flesh white, unchanging. Pores: Pinkish to buff; stain yellow-brown; angular to elongated, slightly decurrent. Stalk: Similar to cap color or paler; partially reticulated. (J. Solem, pers. comm.)
