Excluded from the Maryland flora: "USDA PLANTS (2018) cited Gleason (1963). It is unclear what this citation is referencing, but we expect it is meant to be Gleason and Cronquist (1963). There is no attribution to Maryland in Gleason and Cronquist (1963), and no specimen is known to validate this attribution" (Knapp/Nazi, 2022).
