Status:

Native to the western Palaearctic. Introduced into the U.S. and released into Virgina, where it is established and spreading. A disjunct adventive population in the northeast seems to predate the Virginia introduction (BugGuide).

Relationships:

Preys on the Diaspididae scale insects (BugGuide).
