Description:

Cap: White with some brown scales concentrated in center; dry; convex to broadly convex; white flesh. Gills: White, becoming pink with age; close. Stalk: White, discoloring below, sometimes with brownish fibers; base sometimes enlarged (J. Solem, pers. comm.).

Where to find:

Solitary or groups on decaying hardwoods, wood chips, and buried wood.
