This species "was fairly commonly collected along the Eastern seaboard until the early 1900s..." Since then there have been two records east of the Appalachian Mountains: one from Cecil Co. in 1978 and one from Calvert Co. in 2012. (Steury, 2015, and Chandler, 1997).
