Description:

Fruiting bodies 3-5 cm diameter. Broadly conical with dark umbo; shiny, Heavily striated w/ margin splitting. Cap margin slightly over gills. Gills white, finely serrated; adnate. Stalk whitish/ochre; 2.7-3.6 cm length. Small bulb at stalk base, white mycelium. Spore print cinnamon brown. Spores ellipsoid w/ one side flattened, smooth, hyaline; 8.0-9.2 x 4.0-4.8 microns.

Where to find:

Found on ground in oak/hickory woods. (J. Solem, pers. comm.)
