This undescribed species resembles Glauce pectenalaeella and requires examination of a specimen in hand to distinguish. In true pectenalaeella, the male hindwing costa has "a row of widened bristles that change gradually into large scales from the base to the middle" (Chambers 1875, illustration in Busck, 1903). In this undescribed species, the male hindwing has "a black, hair pencil near the base of the costa that extends no more than one third the wing length" (Lee & Brown 2008). The undescribed species has been confirmed to occur in Maryland.
The larval host plant is unknown.
