Entomophaga grylli is a microscopic, pathogenic fungus. Observations without microscopic or molecular confirmation are speculative.

Description:

Entomophaga grylli infects grasshoppers through spores. As the fungus matures, it induces the grasshopper to climb vegetation and cling firmly, allowing the fungal spores to spread.

Relationships:

Infects grasshoppers in the subfamily Oedopodinae (Acrididae).
