Ipswich Sparrow Passerculus sandwichensis princeps    Synonyms: IPSP, Savannah Sparrow (Ipswich).

Status:

This distinctive subspecies of Savannah Sparrow nests only on Sable Island, Nova Scotia, and winters along the Atlantic Coast. The paler plumage of this population is perfectly suited for life on the dunes.
