Status:

Based on the latest literature, when Hesperomyces is found on Asian Lady Beetle, the species can be identified as this species. H. virescens sensu stricto is only found on Chilocorus stigma. See also the overarching taxon Green Beetle Hanger Complex. See discussion here

Relationships:

Host is Asian Lady Beetle. These ectoparasites typically do not kill their hosts.
