"The species was introduced into the Susquehanna River in the late 1960s, possibly during a high-water event (Cooper 1983) or through bait bucket transfer (Kneib 1972; Denoncourt et al. 1975), and is now the most abundant darter in many parts of the drainage (Raesly et al. 1990)."
