First state record of Cyrtopogon laphriformis in Harford Co., Maryland (5/19/2007). Steve's comments: "A state record for Maryland! Previously this robber had only been reported from New Hampshire (where I've found it) and Pennsylvania. This individual is ovipositing in the soft sand on a terrace along the Susquehanna River. I discovered these last year, but needed a specimen to key them out to species. This year I returned to the same small cove 3 times, and successfully found them on the latter two occasions. All it took was hours of patience and searching." Photo by Steve Collins. (MBP list)
