Status:

Found single or in clusters in rich soil or well-rotted wood such as mulch piles.

Description:

Cap: White/pale yellow (gray-brown in age) with powdery scales; prominent umbo; bell-shaped when young, broadly conic in age; flesh white, stains yellow. Gills: White, crowded. Stalk: White (stains yellow) with soft scales; tapers to narrow tip at cap; persistent ring. (J. Solem, pers. comm.)
