Synonyms: Hodges #2911, Phaneta awemeana.
There were no records of Eucosma awemeana from Maryland included in Wright and Gilligan's 2015 Treatment of North American Eucosma. Photographs claiming to be E. awemeana have turned out to be other species. This species does occur in surrounding states, but for now, MBP is excluding E. awemeana until we have proof that this species actually occurs in Maryland.
