Hagen's Bluet (Enallagma hageni) is a pale-type bluet species found at ponds, bogs, and emergent wetlands, especially with acidic water. This species is nearly identical to several other species of bluet, and identification should ideally be made in the hand (Lam, 2004). This species is recorded from two Maryland counties: Garrett, where it is common, and a historical record from Baltimore County (Richard Orr's Dragonflies and Damselflies of Maryland and the District of Columbia).
