Description:

"The head has sharp angles in front of the eyes, which is distinctive for this genus. The wings are much paler in B. maculata than in B. cognita, the only other species that occurs this far north, and the apical cells characteristically have a single brown spot." (Andy Hamilton, BugGuide)
