Larval host plants include a variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, and grasses, including apples, dogwoods, maples, oaks, viburnums, blueberries, and sunflowers. In Baltimore County Saddleback Caterpillars have been observed feeding on Common Spicebush (P. Horn).
