Status:

Widespread but uncommon throughout U.S.

Relationships:

Larvae bore into the wood of deciduous trees such as oak, locust, ash, chestnut, poplar, and willow (Beadle, 2012). Other host plants include Eastern Baccharis and Black Locust (Database of the World's Lepidopteran Hostplants).
