Status:

Occurs in "woodlands and forest edges from extreme southern Canada to Florida and Texas. Two generations over much of range with mature caterpillars from June onward" (Wagner, 2005).

Relationships:

Common food plants of caterpillar are Ampelopsis, grape, and Virginia Creeper (all in the Vitaceae or Grape family) (Wagner, 2005).
