"Cherrybark Oak (Pagoda Oak) is a massive, long-lived tree of bottomlands and mesic forests of the southeastern U.S. that reaches the northernmost limits of its range in the coastal plain of Maryland and vicinity." (R. Simmons, pers. comm.)
