Status:

We knew it was coming. Maryland Department of Agriculture announced the first confirmed record for Maryland on 10/25/2018, a male caught in a trap in northeastern Cecil County. Native to China, India, Japan, and Vietnam (invasive in Korea).

Relationships:

Extremely dangerous agricultural pest known to feed on over 70 species of plants, including oak, pine, apples, peaches, grape, hops, and more. Especially fond of the invasive Tree of Heaven.
