No Common Name Coelotanypus concinnus (Coquillett, 1895)  

Status:

This tiny, colorful midge in the family Chironomidae is found near bodies of water that are very rich in nutrients. It ranges over most of Eastern U.S., excluding New England (D. Webb, pers. comm.).
