No Common Name Holcocephala abdominalis (Say, 1823)  

Status:

This small species and the other members of this genus are inconspicuous until a search image is developed. Afterwards, they are often noted to be quite abundant. H. abdominalis prefers to perch on the tips of stems of vegetation, the ends of dead branches, and similar perches in fields and edge habitats.

Relationships:

Difficult to separate from other species in genus. Please place unidentified Holcocephala photos here.
