Description:

Note distinctive antennae. In general, the genus is difficult to identify and there are many taxonomic issues to putting correct and new names on the group. (S. Droege, pers. comm.)

Nests are categorized as ground burrows, and social behavior is categorized as cleptoparasites and social parasites (Selfridge et al., 2017).

Relationships:

Species lays its eggs in the nests of bees in the genus Andrena (S. Droege, pers. comm.).
