Introduced from Eurasia. Commonly found along roadsides and field edges. Typically blooms May through June.

Description:

Purplish flowers in dense, one-side racemes. Compare Winter Vetch.

Relationships:

Host plant for the butterfly Eastern Tailed-Blue.
