Description:

Compare the genus Hahncappsia.

Relationships:

"The caterpillar feeds on Woodwardia areolata and rolls up the tips of the fern leaves into a round cocoon. Often clumps of the Netted Chainfern will have dozens of these balls hanging from the stalks." (L. Biechele, pers. comm.).
