In Harford County a Luna Moth caterpillar was documented on Black Walnut. Other host plants include Butternut, Bitternut Hickory, Shagbark Hickory, Shagbark Hickory, Tulip Poplar, Sweetgum, White Oak, and Winged Sumac (Database of the World's Lepidopteran Hostplants).
